Indea Quinn is a freelance multi-disciplinary performer, theatre maker, and arts practitioner based in Launceston. In 2018 Indea graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Contemporary Arts (Hons). In 2019 she undertook a residency with Frantic Assembly (London), training in their physical theatre methodology and creating a performance with practitioners from around the world.

With RAD ballet training to Advanced 2, Indea taught classes for Tasdance’s Public Program from the beginning of 2020 to the end of 2022. Indea was selected for and participated in the 2020 Tas Performs Residency, run by Performing Lines. In 2021 Indea was engaged as an artist for Soliloquy (RANT Arts) as well as being selected as a writer for the Fresh Ink National Mentoring Program (Australian Theatre for Young People) and Multitrack, a program operated by Theatre North (in collaboration with Mudlark, Tasdance and Junction Arts Festival).

In 2022, post performing in Girl Running, Boy Falling by Kate Gaul (Mudlark Theatre, cancelled due to COVID), Indea was employed as the Junior Associate for Mudlark Theatre. She also performed the one-person production Blueberry Play by Ang Collins (DARE Collective), and a series of play readings for Junction Arts Festival - 'From the Archives' (Mudlark Theatre). Indea has written several short plays, including Matrilineal Regurgitation which was awarded two prizes at OneFest 2022. Indea produced and presented Play Time and By the People, a two-part participatory community work for Junction Arts Festival 2022. Indea served on the board of Sawtooth A.R.I from 2020-2023 and is a qualified Pilates instructor.

In 2023 Indea was employed as the Program Coordinator for Ten Days on the Island and was a recipient of the inaugural Women’s Art Prize Tasmania Fellowship. This afforded her the opportunity to travel to Austria for the NIPAI International Physical Theatre Lab and Conference.
